VISTANCIA TOP VALLEY NEW HOME COMMUNITY ACCORDING TO
METROSTUDY REPORT
While most of the Valley real estate market continues to wait out the current slowdown, the north Peoria community of Vistancia is countering the trend, according to a national research firm.
Metrostudy, a research firm based in Texas, counted Vistancia as the top new home community in the Valley in its Nov. 8 report.
According to the firm, Vistancia has posted 670 new home starts for 2007, making it the leading new home community in Arizona.
"Homebuyers are still out there, it's just a matter of connecting with them in a meaningful way," said Curt Smith, chief operating officer for Sunbelt Holdings which is developing the community in a joint partnership with Shea Homes, both of Scottsdale.
"Our approach has always been that in order to build well-regarded communities, you must start by offering exceptional value through careful planning, top-notch amenities and quality builders. The current economic viability of Vistancia validates this approach."
According to Metrostudy, new home starts for the Phoenix market reached 8,389 units in the third quarter of 2007. While this represents a decline from last year's third quarter figures, Vistancia's sales continue to hold steady, with its current new home starts of 670 only slightly behind last year's third quarter total of 738 new starts.
Opened in 2004, Vistancia is known for its organic design and integration of amenities with neighborhoods. The 7,100-acre community is comprised of three distinct hubs - the family-oriented Vistancia Village, the age-qualified Trilogy at Vistancia and the new Blackstone Country Club.
To date, nearly 2,700 homes have been built in Vistancia by noted Valley homebuilders Ashton Woods, Cachet Homes, Engle Homes, Maracay Homes, Rosewood Homes, Shea Homes, Trend Homes and T.W. Lewis.
