ARIZONA'S LARGEST MODEL HOME GALLERY STAGES A BLOCK PARTY
Arizona's largest model home gallery will host an even larger block party February 24 at the award-winning Vistancia.
The festivities, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., are free to the public and get underway in Vistancia's model gallery, where 38 models from eight different builders are featured, including the Valley debut offering from Rosewood Homes. Vistancia is situated northwest of Lake Pleasant Road and Happy Valley Parkway in north Peoria.
In addition to touring the latest homes from the Valley's most respected builders, visitors can also try their hand at climbing a special 24-foot rock climbing wall and take part in face painting. Children can receive free balloon animals while adults can register to win a 42-inch plasma screen television in each model home sales office.
"Vistancia is a community deeply rooted in the importance of families and friends," said Curt Smith, chief operating officer for Sunbelt Holdings, developer of the community in partnership with Shea Homes. "Having a block party seemed the perfect way to demonstrate that friendliness to prospective home buyers."
While 98.7 The Peak FM broadcasts during the block party, visitors can tour the model gallery and get a glimpse of Vistancia's block party trailer, which Vistancia residents can check out for free to stage their own neighborhood parties.
Prizes will be given away during the event and refreshments will be available.
Since it first opened in March 2004, more than 5,100 people have made the decision to call Vistancia home, making it one of the Valley's most successful master plans. In January, Vistancia was named the best master planned community in Maricopa County for 2007 by "Ranking Arizona."
Smith believes Saturday's block party will help demonstrate what makes the community so special.
"Our hope is to give families who attend the block party a glimpse into the family-friendly lifestyle Vistancia has to offer," he said.
Vistancia is a 7,100-acre community known for its organic design and integration of amenities with neighborhoods. It is comprised of three distinct hubs - the family-oriented Vistancia Village, the age-qualified Trilogy at Vistancia and the new Blackstone Country Club.
A key amenity is the Mountain Vista Club featuring three pools - one with two water slides - an indoor basketball gymnasium, meeting rooms, a tennis complex with stadium seating, a game lawn and open play areas. The showcase amenity is the Discovery Trail spanning more than three miles and including several interactive gardens, walkways and lookouts introducing users to the area's natural wonders while linking neighborhoods to Vistancia Elementary School and other key amenities.
